It's been a big part of Democratic successes in Arizona, increasing minority voter participation. Republicans tried to get it outlawed, but courts sided with the Democrats.

What is the difference. Ive always wondered why they they just didnt work with the programs that are legal. Another reason why I find them weird.

(2,674 posts)People are paid to go to homes of elderly or disabled people who have received a mail in Ballot. They offer to help the person fill out the ballot or to fill it out for them. The person takes the ballot and turns it in if it is a vote for the party that is paying him (or Her), else the ballot is not mailed. The harvester is usually paid $10 to $20 per ballot.
In Dallas, about 20 years back, the rich land developers got a crazy-ass idea to build a toll road down through the Trinity river bottoms which flood 3 or 4 times a year. A few years later, there was another vote on the sane thing and it was soundly defeated.
