Covid-19 has killed over 86,000 Americans. Are we becoming numb?

The numbers are getting too big for us to grasp. Ten thousand to thirty thousand to ... It just keeps going up and we are helpless to stop it. "American exceptionalism" has turned out to be a myth since we have the most cases and highest death toll in the world.

We know that Trump is to blame for the vast majority of these incredible numbers and we know he's a madman who seemingly can't be stopped. But knowing that, doesn't change the numbers. By mid-summer we could be looking at 200,000 deaths, a number our minds just can't handle.

Eventually, someday, this will come to an end (hopefully before we end up in a "Mad Max" world). And when it does end, the insane imbecile at the top, his henchmen, and the entire Republican Party must be held answerable for their non action in the face of so many deaths. They represent pure evil. And if we do nothing, then we are complicit in their crimes against humanity.

We can't give anyone their life back. But we can prosecute those most responsible for this massive body count.

Same thing in wars when numbers are announced. Unless you have a family member they are just numbers to most. Plus it’s hard to wrap your mind around the number for most people. Don’t forget most of the population is catching up on Netflix and Hulu. Overall, Americans are not observant.

And considering that the wallet is right next to the asshole, that's part of the body you should never vote with.

This pandemic is hitting them right in the wallets, and they don't like it one bit. So it basically comes down to death or money for them.
