freely elected. Amercia still has to see what their new government's policy is towards America. Neither friend nor foe is precisely right.

I'm also happy to see that the US recognizes "neither ally nor enemy" as a concept again after a decade of manichaeism..

They did have a private conversation after all. From the Egyptian president's reaction I think that the message was received loud and clear.
