“Four-time major champion Rory McIlroy criticized President Trump for his response to the coronavirus outbreak, and said it was unlikely the pair would meet for another round of golf,” Reuters reports.

Said McIlroy: “We’re in the midst of something that’s pretty serious right now. The fact that he’s trying to politicize it and make it a campaign rally and say that we administer the most tests in the world, like it’s a contest – there’s some stuff that just is terrible.”

He added: “It’s not the way a leader should act.”

is a self indulgent asshole. When golf was added to the Olympics, he said he felt British and would represent GB instead of Ireland. He got a huge amount of criticism over that, which he feared would affect his standing amongst his Irish American following, so had a Come To Jesus moment and said he would represent Ireland.

He probably does have to pay SOME taxes here, when he win US events for example. I believe he also has a house in FL, hence the golfing with Tangeranus.

up golfing with Trump? Besides everything else Trump has done and said over the past three plus years, he cheats at golf! Pretty long bar for a "four-time major champion".

"It's not the way a leader should act"? What has he done since he moved into the White House that resembles the way a leader should act? How noble of him to speak out now.

Tiger and Trump are fast friends, and play together quite often. Jack Nicklaus is even closer to Trump, even going to his inauguration. Rich golfers. Why they suck up to right-wing dolts like Trump baffles me. I guess they feel they're being over taxed for playing a game others play for fun.

I think the PGA Tour is well over 90% repuke. Think about their environment, grew up playing with Country Club members, everyone they associated with were Repubs.

I have a friend, second tier pro, tRump has turned him. Over 50, playing non US tours, medical issues/pre existing conditions, impacted by tRump policies and getting a different perspective from playing overseas.

As for Tiger, he is, and always will be a fucking asshole. He was a fucking asshole at 19, 29, 39 and will be and asshole at 49, 59, 69 and until he dies. Great golfer, Big asshole.
