Opening up gyms. One could argue they are less safe than a bar.

I highly doubt people working out in a gym will were masks. Not in Trump land anyways. Imagine infected people huffing and puffing on a treadmill. They will be like a virus factory smoke stack spreading the virus throughout the gym.

But even if I weren't a lazy slob, these days you couldn't pay me to go anywhere near one.

If you are breathing hard from exercising, a mask would be pretty uncomfortable, so it figures that people won't be wearing them and they'd be spewing viruses into the air and onto the equipment. If I really wanted to get sick I'd spend an hour or two at the gym and then head for a bar in Wisconsin.

Most notably semen.

And if I'm working out, I may touch my face to wipe off sweat, touching my nose and mouth in the process.

They have not found evidence, but there are evidently no studies on sweat itself.

"There is no evidence that the virus can be spread through sweat." It therefore implies there is no evidence it CANNOT be spread through sweat.

Was to stop going to the gym. And we were hardly alone. The place was a ghost-town the last couple of days we went.

I cannot imagine thinking it is safe to go back there now. What are people thinking?

Masks not required unless interacting with staff. So you can huff and puff and sweat out your virus all over the place. No thanks.

People share equipment at a gym. From exercise machines, to free weights. I don't know how gyms plan to deal with that. Prior to Covid19, signs were posted at all the gyms I have had memberships to be courteous and wipe the equipment down after you are finished. Its not a courtesy issue anymore.
If you are in a class - lots of people crowded in a room. I still have my gym membership. Will keep it but temporarily suspend my membership for at least the rest of the year.

Locker rooms with public benches, public lockers, public toilets, sinks and showers, steam rooms and sauna...

Training room with people straining, forcefully exhaling, aerosolizing their secretions, breathing hard and talking, virus circulating, settling on metal surfaces...

People will wipe down the machines with a disinfectant after use and they will think they’re safe.

Stupidest thing ever

Still, I'm staying away to see how it goes, much as I miss it. I'm older and don't want to get sick.
