And so far in my circle, we've had 4 or 5 scares of people exhibiting symptoms (and thankfully later receiving negative test results). And who doesn't know healthcare workers on the front lines? Individuals churning out masks, shields, and other protective supplies?

The US has 88,668 total deaths so far

Those top 8 states total up to 63,067

so the other 42 states (some Democratic run)

Add up to 25,601 deaths

Let's say we have (in reality) 250,000 COVID-19 deaths by November 1, 2020

so 161.332 additional, new COVID deaths

71% of deaths so far are coming from just those top 8 states

for argument's sake, lets say their percentage of new deaths drops to only 50% of that 161,332 number

that leaves the other 42 states accounting for 80,662 new deaths, and again, some of those 42 states are democratic run

let's again say for argument's sake (I have already reduced the % make-up for the 8 biggest states, all Dem run just to try and make this look as bad as possible) that ALL of the other 42 states (including Democratic-run ones) hide HALF their deaths (a giant percentage)

that means there are 40,331 deaths to hide, not hundred of thousands

even if you take the numbers up to 500,000 dead Americans from COVID-19 by November 1, 2020, and undercount the contributions of the top 8 states, AND also assume ALL the other 42 states (even the Democratic run ones) hide half their deaths

that means they have to hide 102,883 (and that is with half a million dead, and also assigning a much lower % of the death total to the top 8 states, AND also saying that ALL other 42 states (even Dem ones) ALL hide HALF their deaths)

there is no way you get to a 'hundreds of thousands' bodies hidden in anything resembling even a worst case reality

drilling further down, there are (of the remaining 42 states) 8409 death from states I trust the data (almost all Dem run, plus Maryland)

so that means of the 88,668 deaths 71,476 (roughly 81%)come from trustworthy states

lets reduce ALL of that death input for those sates to only 60% of the new dead

if 250,000 total dead by November 1, that is, again 161.332 additional, new COVID deaths

40% of that is 64,533, so if the Red sates hid half of all deaths, that is 32,236 bodies to hide

if we go to an insane 500,000 total dead, that means 164,553 new deaths in the non trustworthy states

so hiding HALF the deaths means 82,266 hidden, again not remotely close to 'hundreds of thousands' and also that is with HALF a MILLION total dead in reality or 5.64 times MORE deaths than we have at present, to get to that number, you are talking about an average daily death count of 2,500 or so every single day between now and Nov 1, 2020. A HUGE part of the 88,668 deaths so far has come from NY/CT/NJ area (just the 3 states account for 46% of all deaths so far) and the rate is going way down there.

The US has never had 2500 deaths from COVID-19 in one day, the highest was 2229 on April 16th.
