"The deaths, I know this is extreme, the deaths don't matter to him"

Donald Trump’s former ghostwriter declared Friday that the president really doesn’t care about the deaths resulting from the coronavirus pandemic because he has “no conscience” and is solely motivated by the need to dominate.

Tony Schwartz, who co-authored Trump’s 1987 book “The Art of the Deal,” explained to MSNBC’s Ari Melber how the president’s repeated premature declarations of victory in the fight against the contagion had prompted him to “really rethink Trump’s motivation.”

“I’ve always assumed like most people have that the primary motivation is to be loved and admired and recognized and praised,” said Schwartz. “That is a motivation but the deeper motivation is domination, is to win. And that is a function of the fact that he has no conscience.”

“And let’s be clear. No conscience,” he added.

I'm sure he's quite generous to people showing extreme loyalty.

He's all id, lashing out at anyone who doesn't uphold his fantasy that he's a demigod.

I want his fall to be thorough and highly public. And yes, these guys always fall.

I was waiting for his "Mission Accomplished" moment, but in reality, he has made up so many "Mission Accomplished" moments that I have lost count. His "Mission Accomplished" moment is several times a day since this thing started, every day.

And of course, he has no conscience. Anyone can see that. Even me. I'm usually the last to know anything when it comes to that sort of thing, but I saw it right away with him. When even I notice, it must be VERY obvious.

That's what I think of whenever the orangeanus comes into view. I believe his mother recognized it, but since his father was also a con man/slumlandlord/racist, he probably figured Donnie was a chip off the old block.

I think his words at the Republican convention in 2016 are telling: I alone. He craves power and cares not how his use of it hurts others. In that, he is exactly like Hitler, a man who could order the murder of more than six million people without suffering one iota of remorse.

minutes. And yes, I do miss the fairness doctrine, in that for every 'press conference' rump has, Joe Biden should get the same amount of air time, or at least, the networks should start charging upfront fees to rump prior to airing his rant and rave episodes.

15. Sociopath or Antisocial(ist) Personality Disorder
Sat May 16, 2020, 03:25 PM
May 2020

Mayo Clinic website:

A mental disorder in which a person consistently shows no regard for right and wrong and ignores the rights and feelings of others. People with antisocial personality disorder tend to antagonize, manipulate or treat others harshly or with callous indifference. They show no guilt or remorse for their behavior.

Individuals with antisocial personality disorder often violate the law, becoming criminals. They may lie, behave violently or impulsively, and have problems with drug and alcohol use. Because of these characteristics, people with this disorder typically can't fulfill responsibilities related to family, work or school.

Symptoms

Antisocial personality disorder signs and symptoms may include:

*Disregard for right and wrong
*Persistent lying or deceit to exploit others
*Being callous, cynical and disrespectful of others
*Using charm or wit to manipulate others for personal gain or personal pleasure
*Arrogance, a sense of superiority and being extremely opinionated
*Recurring problems with the law, including criminal behavior
*Repeatedly violating the rights of others through intimidation and dishonesty
*Impulsiveness or failure to plan ahead
*Hostility, significant irritability, agitation, aggression or violence
*Lack of empathy for others and lack of remorse about harming others
*Unnecessary risk-taking or dangerous behavior with no regard for the safety of self or others
*Poor or abusive relationships
*Failure to consider the negative consequences of behavior or learn from them
*Being consistently irresponsible and repeatedly failing to fulfill work or financial obligations

Adults with antisocial personality disorder typically show symptoms of conduct disorder before the age of 15. Signs and symptoms of conduct disorder include serious, persistent behavior problems, such as:

*Aggression toward people and animals
*Destruction of property
*Deceitfulness
*Theft
*Serious violation of rules

Although antisocial personality disorder is considered lifelong, in some people, certain symptoms — particularly destructive and criminal behavior — may decrease over time. But it's not clear whether this decrease is a result of aging or an increased awareness of the consequences of antisocial behavior.

When to see a doctor

People with antisocial personality disorder are unlikely to seek help on their own. If you suspect that a friend or family member may have the disorder, you might gently suggest that the person seek help from a mental health professional and offer to help them find one.

The exact cause of antisocial personality disorder isn't known, but:

Genes may make you vulnerable to developing antisocial personality disorder — and life situations may trigger its development
Changes in the way the brain functions may have resulted during brain development

Risk factors

Certain factors seem to increase the risk of developing antisocial personality disorder, such as:

*Diagnosis of childhood conduct disorder
*Family history of antisocial personality disorder or other personality disorders or mental health disorders
*Being subjected to abuse or neglect during childhood
*Unstable, violent or chaotic family life during childhood

Men are at greater risk of having antisocial personality disorder than women are.

Complications

Complications, consequences and problems of antisocial personality disorder may include:

*Spouse abuse or child abuse or neglect
*Problems with alcohol or substance use
*Being in jail or prison
*Homicidal or suicidal behaviors
*Having other mental health disorders such as depression or anxiety
*Low social and economic status and homelessness
*Premature death, usually as a result of violence

They speak as if they are human and can almost fool you into believing they are. But when it comes down to cases and hard choices they are from another planet or dimension. They will keep the lifeboats for themselves and make the most fatuous excuses about higher goals or moral truth when every one of them knows they are in on the con. From the White House and Congress all the way down to the local school board and the county roads dept. They are venal, selfish, self-serving creatures who believe that they ARE superior to the rest of us.

My father fought in WWII to end this kind of vile anti-human faith. He came back home and fought against it for another 68 years. His faith was in humility and loyalty and Agape. He spent his life in doing the right thing for others because he believed we are all fruit of the same tree and we do not each grow unless all of us do.

The GOP has long abandoned the Christian faith they so often wave in our faces. I think it is time we stopped giving them benefit of any doubt at all. If they are human I think they need to prove it by actions which promote human survival as a whole, not merely the survival of the select and privileged.

If they are not, then we may have some very difficult choices ahead...
