When I see somebody in USA gear,

I seriously don't know what to think. My initial supposition is that they are Trump supporters and support his USA. My hope Is that they support the USA as we hope it will be going forward. But I'll tell you the truth I think I'm wrong on the second assumption.

but don't have any flag adorned clothing. That is generally disrespectful.

I know what you mean, though. As a veteran, I tend to think most of the "patriotic" shit is for show and to be disdained.

I dont say that because I am mad or partisan, I say it because as we both know, it is a fact.

Rump takes orders from Putin.

Simple, this is.

I don't wear them because that is in appropriate. But you'll find me in red white and blue regularly. I have a red shirt with white stars on it and some blue pedal pushers I wear on various patriotic days. I stand when the flag passes in parades. I sing along with the national Anthem and I am still proud to be American. I can afford to, I am an older white lady.

I am also a die hard member of the Democratic Party and do what I am able to to advance equality of all sorts and help everyone I can. I come from a union family, married a union man. Sometimes I say stupid things. Sometimes someone has to show me my own shortcomings. Sometimes I fail. But never, ever have I thought my way is any better than anyone else's. My country is probably NOT better than a lot of others. Still, I try with all my heart to do right by my neighbors, both American and around the world.

So next time you see someone wearing something USA and waving a flag and cheering for the home team, just remember me. There's a lot like me ... unapologetic-ally proud to be American. You can dislike that about me. It is OK. When the shit hits the fan, if I can, I'll be there to help right along side the people you like.

on their apparel or accessories is a bellend.

Why should people cede control of those symbols to a pack of thugs?

I never buy anything red, white and blue and definitely no clothes that are flag related. If it offends anyone sorry but that's my feeling now.

And I am sad about it but it is how I feel. I see red white and blue my initial reaction is middle finger salute. I'm sorry that's how I feel. And I don't feel it toward the people. I feel it toward who's running the shitshow.

Each person on this earth happens to be born somewhere - it is either luck, or lack thereof. I guess I just dislike the word "pride", period. We are all in this together - we need lots more humility these days...if we are lucky, we help those who are less so.

So, red white and blue, flags, all that stuff - just not my style at all.

A sparkly brimmed hat of silver blue and red stars, and a tiger shirt with a pattern of red white and blue superimposed with tye dye. I wear that with red Tripp shorts..I only wear it on the 4th of July.
Wear the tiger shirt on voting day with the Dem candidate's button.Less flaggy and disrespectful, and cat themed too.. but the colors are there.
