(32,626 posts)on the tv could explain that what Trump communicates is bullsh*t. That's why he is effective...he gets lots of help amplifying that communication, as is, without question. They sure know how to question, and vilify others.

(15,355 posts)His reports on MSNBC have all been about Donnie Dipshit "getting out there" and "showing he's not afraid" while "Biden is in his basement".
Jeesh John, save us the drama and just drop to your knees already.

(11,744 posts)He isn't really effective in communicating in general. He is effective in maintaining the media's focus, but his message seems limited with specific grievances of specific kinds of people.
Trump and the GOP for that matter, have relied on people feeling "left out" or "left behind" by changes in society. Trump and the GOP have attributed the problems to "the government" giving more to women, minorities, and immigrants, whereas the actual problems stem from the accumulation of wealth into fewer and fewer hands and the rest of us having to fight for scarce resources.
Trump appeals to fear, anger, greed, and resentment which can be present in many people at any time for various reasons.
He really does not have a wide appeal, but he has a very strong appeal to a very "activated"group of people.
He also has extremely well funded partners who are fine using divisions to suppress the participation of the majority of people in politics because the majority of people tend to find Democratic policies better for them than GOP policies, but when emotionally activated, those people tend to stall out and drop out of politics thinking that neither party is really looking out for them.
Oh, and Andrea Mitchell is an idiot.
