And his smiles are often of the Cheshire Cat variety. Anybody else notice that?

Have You Ever Seen Donald Trump Laugh?
Not just smile or make funny faces. He does plenty of that. But really laugha guffaw, a belly laugh, even a chuckle sustained for more than a syllables worth?
Not likely. But for a single verifiable sighting, this possible next president of the United States does not laugh in public. We dont know what he does behind closed doors, but before the cameras, the candidate hasnt emitted deep, jocular bursts of air in nearly a year and a half.
This isnt funny. Its creepy. Or as Trump himself might say, Theres something going on.

(1,207 posts)a few weeks ago. He, and his followers, are angry all the time.
Back in the 80s and 90s you could see photos of him smiling all the time. There was a point when he seemed like he was happy. He had that big, black helicopter-- he and Ivana were all over the NYC social scene. Something went badly wrong with him, and we'll probably never know what.
Sometimes I wonder if he wants to destroy the US- for some personal slight? I don't know-- probably we'll never know.
I do know he has been corrupted somehow, and seems to only delight when he is causing misery for people. He is mentally ill, and unfit to be in the WH (and the sky is blue, water is wet). He is going to come to a crappy end, whether it's in jail, or just old, sick and broke. It will happen-- and his life should be a lesson to wealthy people. Money should not be worshiped; it's the true "golden calf."

(15,392 posts)It was for an anniversary special for Saturday Night Live bringing back past generations to do skits, and the opening was Lorne Michaels telling Chevy Chase that he was too old to do one of his trademark pratfalls, and Chevy telling him not to worry about it. So went out through the audience, bumbling and having near falls, etc. and he dumped an entire container of popcorn on Trump who was in the audience with other celebrities. And most likely it was a stunt man as Lorne made "Chevy" wear a football helmet.
I remember it (first and only time I saw it - until tonight - was as a teenager) as Trump being totally surprised and laughing out loud, but I just found the clip on YouTube, and I was wrong. He didn't really laugh out loud. He smiled and went along with he joke, but it's totally fake. More of a, "Look how good-humored I am to go along with this," phony vibe.

(22,913 posts)the one that we were not supposed to find our about but the Russians blew his cover on, where is is genuinely smiling broadly, perhaps actually laughing. That's the meeting where he told the Russians that he had gotten rid of his problem by firing Comey.
Trump actually looked happy.

(45,021 posts)Associates and employees, sure. But not a single real friend in sight. The only people who speak to Trump's character are his family and they sound like brainwashed hostages reading a poorly prepared script. And no, not a laugh or human moment. Ever.
