Hes going to run a militarist, pro-imperialist, jingoistic, xenophobic campaign because thats what his whole career has been and what the Democratic Party is and anyone who notes this is a privileged fascist.

I seem to remember a time when he actually had some legitimate points. That seems long ago in a galaxy far, far away...jfc.

The more you listen to these people, the more you realize they have no core agenda other than to destroy Democrats.

No, the phrase that immediately comes to mind is "diseased lunatic."

(92,421 posts)the Democratic party, and setup a false equivalency between Democrats and republicans.
It is interesting how he supported the invasion of Iraq:
"I had not abandoned my trust in the Bush administration. Between the president's performance in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, the swift removal of the Taliban in Afghanistan, and the fact that I wanted the president to succeed, because my loyalty is to my country and he was the leader of my country, I still gave the administration the benefit of the doubt. I believed then that the president was entitled to have his national security judgment deferred to, and to the extent that I was able to develop a definitive view, I accepted his judgment that American security really would be enhanced by the invasion of this sovereign country."
Interesting how he minimized the Russian involvement in the 2016 election. This speaks volumes where he is coming from in my view. His views align very much different with Matt Taibbi.
Mr. Greenwald said in 2011 that his residence in Brazil was a result of the Defense of Marriage Act, an American law barring federal recognition of same-sex marriages that was overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court four years later. Ironic that I don't see him changing his residence since Jair Bolsonaro took over Brazil.
Mr. Greenwald's obvious bias does not make him a credible journalist.
From my perspective he is an attention seeking, show boating hack, who used people like Snowden and Reality Winner to elevate his perceived prestige, and then left them out in the cold
In my view his personality has a lot similarities with the person in the White House. Both will NEVER admit a mistake, and believe their view is the only valid one.
Fortunately, except among the extreme on the political spectrum, Greenwald is not given much credibility anymore, and the only influence he has is among those who weren't going to vote for the Democratic nominee anyway, just like they did in 2016, and those who make up that ever shrinking demographic, are NOT going to be a significant factor in the 2020 election
