So say my two right wing brothers."Now you can go to church without the fear of going to prison, because Trump loves the Lord."
(Both rarely go to church)

(31,121 posts)them personally but that group) is what is killing us.
And way more of us will die before it is over.
We blame well over 2/3rds of the infections and death on rump appropriately, but we dont talk about the massive damage to our economy and society as a whole that he is almost solely responsible for.
It goes hand in hand. There are few adults in this country who would do worse than him, there are few if ANY who would have done better than HRC were she prez.

(50,512 posts)Would be tempted to point out how many Sundays the Obamas attended church during his presidency, but facts mean nothing to these mouth-breathing, brain-dead morons...

Why do Republicans say or believe such bullshit?

(46,354 posts)Back when only protestant Christians could be elected to office.
When kids in public schools were forced to take Bible classes and pray to Jesus.
When taxpayer money went for protestant Christian monuments.
ANYTHING different is "persecution."

(10,250 posts)Have convinced themselves the world is a terrifying place. I have a sister in law, they live in a very upscale gated community and have everything they want. She made some comment last year when talking about her son who is away at college, and how she worries about him going out at night. She referenced some crime that had happened in the city where he lives. She is very pious I guess youd say, goes to church every Sunday. I really dont know what she would think about specific aspects of opening up because she has several of the known comorbidities and is carefully staying home. But I think a lot of people see something on the news and amplify it, not based on any personal experiences theyve had because they dont go out. My dad was like that in his final years, just sat on the couch and watched TV all day and was convinced we were on the edge of collapse.

(10,265 posts)And to protest Obama's assault on the Second Amendment, they would go down to their local gun stores and buy several more AR-15 assault rifles after every mass shooting. I guess all that crappola about Sharia Law and Jade Helm 15 didn't pan out, so now it's Obama made christianity illegal.
