one hopes the righteous protestors are not swept away by the nefarious actions of agitators

used to see such people attempting to hijack protests back in the 60's

No quicker way to undermine protesters with a legitimate grievance than provoking them into striking back.

We were going on an overpass and below were the buses that brought the police. The guy next to me threw a rock at them and the mayhem started. He was an agitator for sure.

Not for throwing a rock at the cops (I do not approve) but for throwing a rock off an overpass! I beat the shit out of my little cousin when I saw him doing that once. I just happened to walking across the bridge and saw him. As I was beating his ass a cop came by and pulled me off him. They didn't even have to ask me questions because I just rambled on, this is my cousin and I saw him throwing shit onto the highway from the overpass.

My cousin is lucky it was me that caught him and not a cop.
