Trump says vicious dogs would greet protesters

. In a four-tweet thread, Trump warned that the protesters who had gathered outside the White House Friday night “would have been greeted with the most vicious dogs, and most ominous weapons, I have ever seen,” if they had managed to breach the White House fence. Trump also praised the Secret Service officers that confronted the protesters who gathered at Lafayette Park Friday night as the White House was placed under lockdown.

the entire Republican Party is sending. They can use force on unarmed protestors and put a line of force (SS Agents, police, FBI) in front of those non violent protesters to "contain" them. But in their minds, it is ok for heavily armed White men to enter government chambers to implicitly threaten violence against some elected officials, all while unchallenged by law enforcement of any type. You see in stark relief why our society is so divided, it all falls at the feet of republicans.

The other point is that you must open up your states- no lock downs for white people but curfews or teargas/rubber bullets for blacks who protest a public lynching by a white cop.

That is why it was so refreshing to see one Texas Sheriff encounter armed MAGA types with a SWAT team. That Sheriff likely would not have hesitated to sic SWAT on armed gunmen if they had been Black or Brown, so seeing the evenhandedness was refreshing.
