Normally the AG's office wouldn't take a case on its own initiative because the county attorney's office has primary jurisdiction. But under the governor's authority the AG can take over (it has happened before). He will be working with Freeman's office and with the help of his office's attorneys. I have read that two of the three officers have left the state, so if that's true it will obviously slow down any arrests.

Well, that's totally not what a guilty person would do, right?

If that is indeed true it speaks volumes as to the content of their character. Smells like fugitives on the run to me.

The issue will be finding them, or getting their attorneys to disclose where they are.
