NBC News tweet: Trump has no legal authority to designate antifa as a terrorist organization

Tweeted minutes ago.

They're referring to part of an article they published, but this tweet excerpting that observation made several paragraphs into the article is really pointed. Of course Trump was tweeting FAKE NEWS in all caps half an hour earlier.







There is no domestic terrorism statute and legal authority for the U.S. to designate any domestic organization as a terrorist group, as the Justice Dept.'s domestic terrorism coordinator has said publicly on multiple occasions in recent years.
