Officials: Teen busted with 70 rounds of ammo during protest
COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) -- A 19-year-old man carrying an estimated 70 rounds of ammo was arrested along with more than 50 other people attending the protests this weekend., according to law-enforcement officials.
The suspect, Dominic Gladden, of St. Matthews, is facing charges of unlawful carrying a pistol and illegal acts during a state of emergency, according to the Richland County Sheriff's Department and the Columbia Police Department.
According to the report, of the more than 50 people arrested this weekend, 10 are facing looting charges, while 31 violated the city ordinance concerning the 6 p.m. curfew. The remainder were charged on various charges such as disorderly conduct. while three people face weapons charges, officials said.
Of the people arrested this weekend, 15 were from Columbia, 20 were not and at least five people are from out-of-state, officials said.
