Why Trump held up the Bible?

Because there is no fool like an old religious fool. By default, they are the most gullible amongst us.

He wanted to show his supporters that he was a strong leader, not the weak coward running to a bunker. So he ordered flash grenades and tear gas used on the peaceful protestors, so he could walk across the street and show his evangelical followers that he was still a man of God.

Just to prove it, he held up the Bible so no one could mistake what book it was? It wasn't his Bible. He must have borrowed it? Why waste a good photo op?

It looks like a hymnal, when's the last time you saw a bible with a border on the cover like that? Plus, it was a hard cover like a hymnal, most bibles have soft covers. Most bibles, I have seen some hard covered ones but that's not all that common.

I think it's a hymnal too. Can anyone zoom in on that?

I don't know how to post the picture but another DUer posted a picture of Hitler holding up the bible in the exact same way at a Nazi rally.

the military to attack peaceful protesters with tear gas, flash grenades and rubber bullets so that you can have a fake, pathetic, photo-op in front of a church that you don't even go to.

Are there really people who are stupid enough not to see through this little stunt for what it is?
