Don't get me wrong, I appreciated his addresses out of his home.
But hearing him in a more open setting, where there's a bit of reverberation in the sound, gives his words an additional feel of gravitas and importance.

(56,828 posts)though I'm sure I'll see highlights later.
However, I remember back when he first ran in 1988, he was known as a very good speaker. (until the Neil Kinnock then derailed him)
Glad to see Joe still has some good speeches left in him.

(43,182 posts)It remains the best political speech I've ever heard in person. And I've even seen Bill Clinton speak, twice.

(5,942 posts)I would have thought the Biden app would have announced an upcoming speech, but it didn't. Ugh. How do I stay on top of his appearances?
On edit: Found it on his Twitter page.
I'd still like to know how to get informed in advance of his appearances.

(6,280 posts).... and one of the things that I noticed is his rhythm. Unlike drump and his teleprompter speaking one sentence, pausing to read the next, reading that sentence, and pausing to read the next in his slurring , herky-jerky voice, Joe Biden is delivering a speech that is fluid, and soothing to the soul.

(54,770 posts)like his talks from home, but it does give the trumpsters something to try to belittle Biden.
