a disability. There are good sources on DU for this. I've talked to teachers who work with SN children, and they all say there is something atypical about Barron's demeanor, etc.

I've known a lot of SN, Special Education teachers over the years. Several have commented since 2015 that he appears to be on the spectrum. He would be at risk for that because his father was 60 or older when he was conceived. Advanced paternal age is a factor in autism spectrum disorders.

Barron is naturally at higher risk for two reasons: his father's advanced age at conception, and his father's own learning disabilities and psychiatric issues.

Same with developmental disabilities. You may not have the cause, but people experienced in the field, like speech therapists, occupational therapists, SE teachers, etc, can see the movements, behaviors, etc., and some symptoms are physical. Knowing where a kid is on the spectrum requires a much more intensive evaluation.

Plus, his private school brags about having this special "mind-brain education program." That sounds like code for needing an Individualized Education Plan. Special education programs like that don't show up at many private schools.

I understand your concerns. But some things add up. At first I didn't believe it, but I would bet money he's on the spectrum.
