The stakes are way too high for a wait and see posture.

That would not need the approval of the US Senate, only a majority of the House.

It would serve no purpose to impeach again unless there were some Republican votes to go along.

But it’s completely rational to keep putting Senate Republicans in the spotlight - make them own everything.

Personally, I think the Senate should be forced to try the impeachment right around October.

They said that’s what we are seeing here - and the next step is stealing the election, refusing to give up power. They said Congress needs to act now.

A power they do have is to refuse to fund the Justice Dept under current policies and leadership.

And he is, in spectacular fashion.

He’s losing the Defense apparatus as we speak. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs more or less denounced him, which is unheard of. The former Secretary of Defense just ripped him a new one. The current Secretary is distancing himself like mad.

Only the election is going to remove him. Once he loses, his constitutional powers will end. No military or police force will obey him at that point. If they have to drag him out, so be it.

Remember, the House decides any contested election. There are mechanisms in place. If he loses, he’s going. We need to vote harder than we’ve ever voted before.
