I'm concerned about how closely people were packed together. Why is it that the same people who a week ago were shaming anyone who dared see their friends or get a haircut suddenly condoning these massive gatherings? Last I checked the coronavirus didn't disappear overnight.

But it seems ironic that an organization called "Black Lives Matter" would endanger more black lives by encouraging big crowds to congregate during a deadly pandemic.

And Democrats on twitter and other social media. Now they are approvingly posting pictures of huge crowds protesting what happened to George Floyd. Of course I support what they are protesting for, but it still seems dangerous to have people, especially people of color in cities who have been most vulnerable to the virus, gathering in massive crowds with nowhere near six feet between people.

Not sure how you can conflate what anonymous people online are saying to people protesting in the streets.

Still not following you....

Has the need for social distancing suddenly gone away?

You have no idea who most of these people are and neither do I.

You can't conflate the protesters with people posting on anonymous online message boards.

the best elements of our shared experience, came about when people were willing to risk death to fight for principle that was larger than their mortal lives.
