Their choice of words, their forums, their actions belie a certain desperation.

Think about it, e.g, "the kids": Ivanka felt compelled to "twitter" her response to having her graduation speech squelched and found it antithetical to the First Amendment. She could have shrugged her shoulders and focused on something else. Don Jr. is shooting off his mouth with his opinions to feed the illusion that he is relevant. Same with Eric. These postures are more than being supportive of a father seeking re-election.

Not to mention Trump wanting to install Ivanka or Don Jr. in the WH for a legacy. He won't leave before that is guaranteed.

And Trump himself. He may deny a lot of stuff, but he can't shrug off that his status will diminish upon losing the election. Little if no chance to steal from the public coffers, make international deals that will enrich himself, making public statements that make the front page. Not to mention his legal counsel have been warning him of trials and punishment in federal court.

Trump would rather die in the WH than live as a private citizen again.
