U.S. Senate: (D) McGrath 41% (R) McConnell 40%

https://www.termlimits.com/mcgrath/#

Frankfort, KY – According to a new poll conducted by RMG Group, former Marine Amy McGrath will defeat Mitch McConnell decisively in November; but only if she begins focusing on one key issue: congressional term limits. If McGrath does not stress term limits, the race remains a tossup.

The poll, which was conducted from May 21-24, found that McGrath currently leads McConnell 41% to 40%, which is well within the margin of error. But after voters are told that it is McGrath, not McConnell, who agrees with President Trump on term limiting Congress, she jumps out to a 15-point lead.

When voters are informed that McGrath supports term limits and McConnell opposes it, McGrath’s support among Republicans nearly doubles from 8% to 17%. Among independents, her share rises from 33% to 43%.

Despite these promising numbers, McGrath has one big problem: the vast majority of Kentuckians are not aware that she supports term limits. While 37% of voters knew that McGrath is pro-term limits and has signed the U.S. Term Limits pledge, 63% either were not aware or incorrectly believed that she opposes term limits. 74% of independent voters are unaware that McGrath supports term limits.

If McGrath wants to win in November, she will need to do a better job informing voters of her position and the contrast with McConnell’s anti-term limit views.

The survey of 500 registered voters in Kentucky was conducted online by RMG Research, Inc. from May 21-24, 2020 using a representative sample to reflect the state’s population of registered voters. It has a margin of error of +/- 4.5 percentage points. RMG Research is owned and operated by Scott Rasmussen.

I apologize if this already been reported, but first time I've seen this poll posted.

Go McGrath! It is time for the Turtle to hid back inside his shell.

If the two ass-kissing Senators went down it would mean we had the White House and about 55 in the Senate.
RBG could finally retire and we could put a 40 year old radical on the court, and just watch Thomas and Alito.

It seems very likely that he will simply claim he was cheated so he is the rightful winner and then declare victory. And he appears to have fascist supporters who are ready and willing to storm into the capitol to protect him.

that there will be enough of a firestorm that Trump will back down. He is a bully, and bullies are weak when you challenge them.

To see the entire organized crime party indicted and incarcerated would be a fitting end. And I mean all of the anti-American, pro-Putin/Trump weasels.

I am getting flooded for $ requests, but I mark read/delete....and then make my monthly contributions as I see fit. I'll make a sizable contribution (for me) because I hate what Mitch McConnell has done to this country since George Mitchell left the Senate. He was an honest and forthright SML who always allowed the minority to bring legislation to a vote...unlike Putin's cowrdly pet turtle.

(it's late & i'm tired--my excuse if i'm getting this wrong but...)

if the people of kentucky are so into term limits why do that keep electing that fucking asshole??
looking at wiki, it appears those idiots voted for him in 1984 and in january of '85 he began his long career of peeing all over the senate.

now they want term limits? after wanting the same piece of shit to represent them for 35 fucking years? give me a break. maybe those dumbass voters should begin by looking in a mirror! that might help them see where the problem begins.

Republican cheating, especially when it comes to their Majority leader, will easily overcome a 1% deficit, though with a Democratic Governor, it will be less easy than with a corrupt Republican governor. 5% would be a lot more comforting, though this might not be easy in Kentucky. Beshear didn't have an easy time, either, and the Senate seat is far more vital to the Republicans.

Still, as a very early supporter of McGrath (I was on board with her since the beginning of the year), I am pleased with the direction in which things are going!

McConnell could change his tune as Senate majority leader if he thinks he is in danger of losing. Perhaps even throw Trump under the bus.
