The one basic fact that is blocking all efforts to defeat the Corona virus:

Donald Trump is mentally ill, morally deficient and totally incompetent to go out in public without a minder, let alone act as POTUS.

The nation knows this.

The world knows this.

Until he is removed from power, nothing will be done in this nation to contain the pandemic or develop a cure or treatment.

That's a fact.

that's unwarranted.

A lot of other countries understand what needs to be done and are doing it. Trump is not single-handedly running things everywhere, not even in all parts of this country.

Research is going forward in many places for a cure or treatment. He can't stop that. He might try to keep a cure or treatment from being used here, but that effort will last about twenty minutes.

He and his spawn already have amassed a fortune from the Virus. And, the Trumps and RepubliCONs are each currently working towards corruptly making hundreds of millions, or even billions more off anything to do with the Virus......

That is why Trump hesitated doing anything for so long. To give all the RepubliCONs and his family a head start opportunity to position themselves into any area to make immense profits off the Covid Nightmare.

This is by far the most thoroughly corrupt political party in the history of our nation, which have absolutely ZERO respect for the Rule of Law or the U.S. Constitution..........

about the fact that I don't know when I will see my children again. If they get engaged, will we be able to have a wedding? If they have children, will I ever hug my grandbabies?

And then, with great clarity, I realized that with President Hillary Clinton in office, we would have knocked this virus out at the very beginning. We would have led the world in fighting this battle. We would be like New Zealand today - celebrating the fact that they HAVE defeated this illness.

The disgusting creature squatting in OUR Oval Office is incapable of doing anything to make even a dent in the infection rate.

It really is worse than we imagined it would be in November of 2016.

such inroads, had Hillary Clinton been in office, I really doubt we'd be virus-free at this point.

New Zealand is an island nation. Which makes it vastly easier to control who is allowed in.

Notice how many other countries, even ones with good health care systems, have deaths per one million population a whole lot larger than we have, at least at this point. Lots of researcher are desperately looking for a cure or vaccine, and neither of those would have miraculously happened under a President Clinton.

This is a novel virus, meaning no one on the planet started out with any kind of immunity. And it still differentially sickens and kills older people and those with underlying health issues.

The Senate GOP and many GOP House members are treating this as a PR opp rather than a crisis. They are complicit in the obstruction from opportunistic to simply contrarian motives.

Barr added fuel to the fire propping up Trump's claims of executive authority.

If they're not stealing tax money they're busy attacking functioning aspects of good government.

They DO NOT CARE how many die, how many suffer side effects of the disease or treatment, how many lives are altered through financial or employment impacts or personal tragedy.

I know where the pitchforks are, and the rope. I don't want that to be the answer but some days it sure feels like that may be the only path left to us.

I think that the world, especially the West, has relied on the USA to lead since the end of WWII, when because we were not wrecked by war, we were able to rebuild all of Western Europe. So, the West was initially stunned when our country became a basket case of stupidity under Trump.

I really believe France and Germany, in particular, see this as an opportunity to form a new western alliance that is less dependent on the USA. Germany is making quiet, but solid progress against covid19 and toward a vaccine or cure. China is making progress along the same lines. If people in the country are stupid enough to re-elect Trump, we are going to find ourselves permanently sidelined in a way that we will never regain influence.

I can see signs of that happening now. For example, in the last three years the European Space Agency has fundamentally eclipsed NASA on cutting edge Spaces and climate research. The ES often work with USA universities, taking the role that NASA used to have.

We are headed for a future where 30% of the USA is so backward that it is worthwhile simply to work around them to progress with foreigners that aren't as dense. What will happen if we don't get Trump out of office fast is that our best minds will become euro-centric, working with organizations in Europe instead of hoping for responsible funding from the federal government.

New supply chains and labs are being used.
New rules for keeping 30% greater capacity than is usually needed.
Ways of dialing up and down the governance to meet both spikes and outbreaks.

There has been much more learned and shared than if this man kept trying to bumble out BS and orders.

A lot will be done to contain future pandemics, as well as to develop cures.

It's a matter of shifting our perspective about leadership. Americans, corps and science are stepping up to become a new connected leadership, thanks to ongoing public platform discourse and media paying attention to the best of those ideas. Particularly when we have to face new events the world has scant experience with and information to go on.

As Governor Cuomo has said: People do not just follow leaders. Leaders must also follow the People.

Even now, all is not bleak. And the future is one that WE will build, not just one new leader in the White House.

He caused the loss of life of countless people, who had to die alone. Not counting the life long trauma of loved ones not being able to comfort them.

He did this in three ways:

1. Not acting soon enough, in an intelligent, scientific way.

2. Not wearing a mask himself and making his followers think it wasn't macho.

3. Discounting CDC guidelines like "blah, blah, blah" and probably promising favors to red state govs to open ASAP
