a kid without pets is the saddest thing to me.

my Mom thought they were 'dirty'.

people for whom a dog isn't worth the dirt have f'ed up priorities.
i had a couple dogs in my childhood, but was mostly dogless. i made up for it with small animals. and i make up for it now by having 5 dogs.

And I miss everyone and a day doesn't go by when I'm not thinking of them all.

If that doesn't warm your heart, I don't know what will.
