No wonder we have the most cases of Covid in the world.

by those who are so cavalier about getting Covid-19. Or, like you said, think God will protect them.

Was talking to an acquaintance I ran into the other day who lives across the border from me in western PA. I said to her that it was fantastic that her county was doing so well preventing the spread of the virus and so few deaths. (They update us on the news every night by county)

She replied with an eye roll that wearing masks is required by law in public spaces in PA and that it was getting to be too much. “Hey, if I get it, I get it,” she said, throwing her hands up (meaning the virus). This lady is 76 years old....she’s a former high school swimming coach who swims laps 5 days a week and is in better shape than I am ... I said, “Oh, you don’t really mean that, do you?” and she replied “Eh, I’ve lived a good long time.” I know she has a couple grown kids and several grandchildren.... it just boggles my mind to hear people talk this way!

And of course, since we ran into each other in a store in Ohio ...(Where De Wine thinks requiring wearing masks is “government overreach”) .... she wasn’t wearing a mask ....

who went to be tested isn't so willing to leave this worldly plane...she loves living...me too...

That is all. Those who think it’s been mastered and dropping precautions will return us the where we were, with hospitals overwhelmed. Flattening the curve is not the same as overcoming the pandemic. I suppose if everyone stuck to the restrictions until there was a vaccine we could limit its ultimate spread, but that doesn’t look to be the case. I’ll be happily surprised if the numbers stay low but I doubt that will be the case. By the time things get bad enough to reinitiate restrictions the cat will be out of the bag and infections will be widespread. Not just urban population centers. And we will likely get back to overwhelmed health care system and increased death rate.

I have a hard enough time keep up with mine. You must sit at the window all day or something to keep track of everybody. How do you keep up with them?

Took nearly a week to get results from the county health department. I'd been experiencing many of the COVID-19 symptoms for about a week before the test, but it looks like I only had a pretty bad chest cold, which is slowly improving. I had been staying home and following all the precautions before, now I'm being even more careful.

With an expert NIH attitude, the DFT administration rejected the test developed by the WHO, in favor of the one we haven't invented yet. We'll, now we have a number of different tests, some work, others don't. They all give statistically different results than the WHO tests.
Getting results in 7 days is unacceptable. Too many tests are available that can give results in less than on hour.

Furthermore, the results are iffy enough that they need at least 2 negative results within 24 hours.
