He's actually not doing a very good job, but the white dude is doing much worse. They are both just hurling haymakers, and the Asian guy got lucky and landed a couple and the white guy kept missing. It all probably came down to the Asian guy having a reach advantage.

Those big punches have power, but with some practice they are easy to see coming and either block, parry, or dodge and if you do any of those things it opens up a lot of options for counter shots.


Don't walk backwards either. Too much of a chance you trip or the person decides to bum rush you and you are on your heels and unable to respond.

It's very effective. You keep your balance (a mainstay of Tai Chi) while using hands/arms to feel behind you. Executing "repulse monkey" helped save my butt on one occasion.

So, the flip flop guy obviously took his eyes off the other guys hands.
That punch took a half hour to get there, yet his whole body went limp at impact.
He clearly never saw the punch.
Pretty hard to block a punch you don't see.

I know it's sort of a stereotype but I was hoping to see the Asian guy pull of some kung fu moves or something and scare racist boy into running off. Still, it was a satisfying watch.

It's so old. I left this window and tab open the day you posted it so I could watch it without disturbing anyone at the time. It's been open and even reopened every time I've restarted my computer since then. This was well worth the wait!

I cheered for the Asian guy! I cheered loudly! And even though I had some guilt pangs for behaving in a way I normally wouldn't, once I saw that the deluded white guy was going to live I got back to my cheering. The Asian guy is a good guy and it didn't surprise me that he was concerned about having hurt the idiot. It just made me proud of the kind of people I have chosen to stand with all my life! I'm glad so many people got to see this!! Thank you for posting it!!

I don't think stepping on his foot had anything to do with the attacker getting knocked to the ground. That was quite a surprise KO punch, though.. POW! And, then he helped him up.. that was the coup de grace.
