A accounting write off for the hospital. The patient is not expected to and won't pay it.

6. Agree. And he will surely have to pay part of it. Any uncovered costs that were actually incurred

as in when you had to have a TEST.. of course, he knew that it was next to impossible to GET a test when he said that.

eligible for Medicare...Anthem Blue Cross plan...pretty high deductible but better than many on the market today...we usually are better off taking whatever plan his job offers...but as he is laid off, we are back on the Anthem plan. They are paying all deductibles and out of pockets associated with Covid 19 ...so we are quite fortunate. And two job interviews that are promising next week.

Hopefully Congress and the Biden Administration will pass bills that will provide relief and help to those who survive...

Survivors face a lifetime of continued physical issues, possibly even disability and then the economic fallout of not just hospital bills but lost wages. Just because this virus doesn't kill you doesn't mean you walk away scott free...

It's going to be a long haul to heal from this pandemic, as a nation.
