Trump threatens Seattle crackdown, calls Gov. Inslee 'a stiff'

President Donald Trump unleashed more angry words and threats against demonstrators' occupation of a six-block zone on Capitol Hill, describing Gov. Jay Inslee as "a stiff" and saying Mayor Jenny Durkan "doesn't know she's alive."

Speaking at a White House roundtable on the elderly, the 74-year-old president didn't get into specifics but said there are "about 10 different things" he could do.

"You have a governor who doesn't know anything about it," Trump said. "And you have a mayor who doesn't know she's alive. She's talking that it's going to be a love fest this summer. If they don't do the job, I'll do the job."

Trump presented a fictional, Fox News-style account of goings on around the boarded up East Precinct of the Seattle Police Department, where weekend visitors found a commune-style environment with free food and medical care, a clothes exchange plus street art and film showings.
