Frontline: My blood began to boil when they showed this. It reminded me of Trumps massive failure.

They were talking about when the virus first hit New York. They interviewed a doctor who was desperate to get people tested. Doctors had to get permission because there were so few testing kits. She was denied. Which was a direct result of Trumps murderous decision to down play, cover up the virus.

So many lives could have been saved if Trump simply made testing the number one priority at the very beginning of the pandemic. He did the opposite, because he thought testing would make him look bad. Fucking insane.

(and I think you've been told that before)
The administration's record in handling the pandemic is self evidently an egregious failure. Plenty of ammunition there. Why would you insist on peddling a story that has problems? (even the link you give attempts to straighten out some of the misconception and misinformation)

-- The United States did ship about 17.8 tons of medical supplies to China in early February. It’s worth noting that not all of it was PPE and the State Department said the supplies were sourced from private donations, not the public stockpile.

-- “This week the State Department has facilitated the transportation of nearly 17.8 tons of donated medical supplies to the Chinese people, including masks, gowns, gauze, respirators, and other vital materials,” the release read. “These donations are a testament to the generosity of the American people.”

The virus warnings were reported in the daily presidential briefings. Since HE does not read them, or even understand them when he does, WHY didn't someone else in this administration insist on having this questioned? Why did they all keep quiet about the virus, endangering the entire country, even themselves? Jared, I understand was planning on enriching himself from this, by stockpiling supplies. Surely there were others who could have exposed this? Are they afraid of losing their jobs and benefits, so the health and welfare of the entire country means nothing to them? Lowest group of LOSERS and TRAITORS in the history of this country. I hope they all have to pay for this fiasco.

were the *blood* tests which purported to identify the presence of anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies. Many of the tests which look for those antibodies are crap because Pine-Sol Pol Pot's CDC flunkies allowed those tests to be released to market (P-SPP's grifter friends need to grift, after all!) without verifying that, in fact, those tests even *worked*.

The PCR tests for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 *RNA* usually seem to be pretty accurate (at least once Pine-Sol Pol Pot's CDC flunkies sort-of got their acts together and finally released a test that actually worked).

The former tests, when positive, indicate that the person tested has developed antibodies after exposure to SARS-CoV-2 -- though no test can determine whether those antibodies have actually cleared the virus out of the body, nor whether those antibodies are protective against reinfection.

The latter tests identify small sequences of RNA which can only be present in the body if the person has been infected by SARS-CoV-2 virus particles.

Covid-19, right?

I have not bothered to try to do research online to see how good current testing is supposed to be. For me, personally, it's pretty much a non-issue since I'm retired, live alone, don't get out too much, wear a mask when I do. I also don't have any underlying health issues. I recognize that I am not assured of never getting it, but it's not much of a worry for me. Since tests are limited, others at far greater risk should get them long before I do.

Testing kits were available and they had been offered by Germany. That asshole turned them down.

Testing and tracing from the beginning would have helped a great deal in the cities in the beginning. He sees things only in terms of looking good or looking bad and he does not understand much of anything and no one can educate him.

I knew he would be a massive disaster and that he would kill people. Silly me, I thought more in terms of a crashed economy and more wars of corporate convenience. I had no idea he'd achieve this scale of disaster.

Deaths as of this morning: 119,269.

If something can be considered adverse to his best interests, including his re-electability, his first move is outright denial, no matter how outrageous the lie; his second move is obfuscation and misdirection, to confuse and mislead the public; his third move is suppression, shutting down those who persist in telling and disseminating the truth.

All from the fascist playbook, chapter 1.

DON'T let America forget what happened this year. November's still a long time away, and with the speed of the craziness that just cascades out of trump inc. every day (the old "like drinking out of a fire hose" metaphor), a LOT can happen to distract. What if he gets us into war by then? For no other reason than distraction?

We KNOW his game and how he likes to "play." We KNOW. We have a track record over three-and-a-half years. Hell, we have a track record that extends much farther back than that. We've known he's always been an attention whore. He's ALWAYS craved the spotlight, the camera, the microphone. He CRAVES having his name on everyone's lips, every headline on the front page of every newspaper, every TV graphic and chyron, every lead line of every story, op/ed, comment, or message online. He LIVES for it. The applause and attention and fawning crowds and media.

He gave the game away, days ago, during that mess that now entitles him to stand with Saddam Hussein and Adolf Hitler in the history books in the chapter subtitled "He gassed his own people." He used the verb "dominate." He likes to be dominant. I bet it started in his family where the kids were taught to be competitive, to a ridiculous - even obscene - degree. I bet with him it not only went to the board room but into the bedroom. "Dominate." You have to "dominate" them, he exhorted the troops he dispatched to clear the street for him so he could walk to that photo-op at St. John's Church.

I'm no Ph.D but it seems to me, just logically, that somebody that fixated on domination and power over others ("I can do anything I want" ) has got to have some kind of MASSIVE inferiority complex or hang-up over other - um - "shortcomings". Maybe when he was a little boy, he walked in on his dad in the bathroom and immediately noticed what you'd expect a little boy to notice, and then of course, being so self-centered he'd likely immediately compare that to the junior-size that he had.

Again, I'm no psychologist here. But just as an observer of human behavior, cause-and-effect, reaction/response dynamics, and being a mom to both female and male children personally and in groups, this is what I'm led to conclude.

As I write this, Washington Post Political Reporter Robert Costa is talking about how trump is ALWAYS picking fights about credibility, attacking the credibility of ANYONE who dares to challenge him or otherwise give him a hard time. That just winds up being a big flashing red light to me - he's so hung up on credibility because he has a BIGTIME complex about his own. Besides, we also know one of his other favorite tactics is deflection. Constantly accusing some perceived opponent of doing something HE HIMSELF IS ACTUALLY DOING. Again, to distract attention from what somebody might find out that he's doing, because the tactic involves shifting the attention off of him and what HE'S up to, and onto somebody else so THEY take the blame instead - and he gets away with it. AGAIN.

And so WE HAVE TO GET HIM OUT OF OUR WHITE HOUSE - before the damage he's doing becomes irreparable. WE can stop him from getting away with it again and again and again. By voting him OUT of the White House in November. He MUST NOT be allowed to stay in the White House for another four years!
