This video of a tearful Georgia police officer accusing McDonalds of withholding her Egg McMuffin order on purpose has gone viralTheres not much sympathy online for this cop crying over an Egg McMuffin. A Twitter user who calls herself Ann ... posted the clip of an officer she says is named Stacey who sobs while recounting how the restaurant workers kept her waiting and withheld part of her breakfast order.
The clip, which runs just under two-and-a-half minutes, features Stacey explaining that she placed a mobile order for an Egg McMuffin meal. But her order wasnt ready when she went to pick it up. And Im waiting. And Im waiting. And Im waiting, she says, noting that she was hungry because she had not eaten for a very long time. She was told to pull over to the side, and an employee eventually came over and gave her a coffee. But Staceys order was supposed to include an Egg McMuffin and a hash brown, as well.
Thats all she hands me is the coffee, Stacey says, breaking down into tears.
I said, Dont bother with the food because right now Im too nervous to take it!
It doesnt matter how many hours Ive been up.
It doesnt matter what Ive done for anyone.
Right now, Im too nervous to take a meal from McDonalds
because I cant see it being made!
She pleaded with people watching the video to, Please, just give us a break. I dont know how much more I can take. She added that she has never had such anxiety in all of her years of service ...
Local McDonalds operator/owners Gary and Jill Stanberry told MarketWatch in an emailed statement that they have been in contact with the officer to apologize. Unfortunately, we were made aware of a local police officer who experienced a longer than usual wait time and did not receive her full order right away at one of our restaurants. We have been in contact with this officer to apologize for this unsatisfactory experience ... We are happy to report that the officer was never denied service and also shared positive feedback on the employee with whom she interacted,.

this poor woman had to wait a few extra minutes for her mcmuffin just wait till we tell them how long black people have been waiting for equality
You can weep over an Egg McMuffin or you can carry a gun but you can't do both.
this person.....having a mental breakdown over a mcmuffin... is allowed to carry a pistol everyday and use it whenever they deem it necessary

(11,686 posts)Get a fucking grip!!! It's McDonalds not a 5 star restaurant.
Almost everybody has this happen no matter where they put the order in and it usually happens more than once to any one.
Get your ass up earlier and make your own damn meal and sack it or make it and sack it the night before.

(11,646 posts)What kind of bubble do you have to live in to not understand that "cop crying over egg mcmuffin" might not get a lot of support at this moment?

(28,845 posts)Crying to a fast food worker that probably makes minimum, has two jobs to make ends meet, but ends never meet. Who has three kids and cant afford the luxury of an
Egg McMuffin. Who has no clue that Stacey has had a bad day but should have known somehow. And probably has a manager making their job awful as well.
But you know, Stacey haz a sad.

(10,274 posts)Now she knows how black people feel whenever someone like her pulls them the hell over. She can either take her new understanding and perspective and do something useful with it, or she can fuck right off.
It's also the case that if people protesting police excessive violence has her this fucked up, she should prolly take a few weeks off work anyway, and get some therapy before she does do something stupid with that firearm they let her walk around with.
ALSO also, I'm sorry lifes hard just now, Stacy. But no, no ones going to say 'thank you' for NOT killing anyone today. That's just not how 2020s gonna work.

(5,803 posts)She said it at the beginning of the video.
Apparently people try to thank her all the time, but she doesnt even realize it.
I hope she is put on leave. She should not be anywhere near a firearm.
