President Donald Trumps supporters in Tulsa, Oklahoma are already lining up outside the BOK Center ready to see him. When it comes to fears of the coronavirus, theyre not worried.
Tulsas Republican mayor, GT Bynum, said any rational person would have concerns, but that Tulsa hospitals are prepared for the influx of coronavirus cases. Other Oklahoma residents are concerned that Bynum and GOP Gov. Kevin Stitt are putting politics before public safety.

(16,646 posts)First heard this during the sermon at church.
River is flooding and a good Christian woman is sitting on her porch when a truck drives by. The man hollers to her to come with him to avoid the flood.
No she says, God will save me.
The river rises further and a boat comes by, and they holler for her to get in the boat.
No, God will save her.
Later on she's moved up to the roof and another boat comes by.
No, God will provide.
Finally, she's on the top of the chimney and a helicopter comes by, but no she says God will provide.
Ultimately the water sweeps her away and she dies. She gets to heaven and because she was a good a faithful woman, St. Peter lets her in. She immediately demands to see the Big Guy.
Why, she demands, did God not save her when she was so faithful.
Lady, I sent a truck, two boats and a helicopter. What more did you want?
A mask, a simple piece of cloth, that's all we're asking. You'd think we were talking a Burka or something.

(10,839 posts)Funny story and this:
You'd think we were talking a Burka or something.
The resistance to taking moderate precautions for yourself and the sake of fellow citizens is childish, dangerously defiant and simply irresponsible.
It is what it is, I guess. Too often, those taking the rigid positions are incapable of changing until they themselves become infected. Of course, by then it's too late--they've got it and spread it to others.
Sigh.
It does irritate me when I'm out and see only about 25% of customers masked. Playing with fire!
