I guess it's been about 4 months now for the "lockdown"

It really hasn’t bothered me much. I’m staying cautious. I live right at the border of two states, one has opened up to phase 2, the other is maybe at phase 1 or maybe none. I’m not sure but it’s still pretty locked down. You can really tell the difference from one state to the other.

I’ve started to do a couple things; had my first in person doctor appointment today. Dentist last week. I took out $100 cash at the beginning and still have about $40 left. Been using my CC for most everything. I’ve now purchased three bottles of hand sanitizer. Paper products have been available for several weeks. So it’s gradually returning to more normal and the slow pace has been ok by me. But I’m retired so it hasn’t been much impact beyond staying home a lot. I try to get out for a walk every day and I’ve had to get a jump for my car twice due to low battery from not driving.

I can understand people who are out of work complaining but the people who want to pretend it’s all over offend me. I’ve got a friend who I know hates trump send me some fox crap about how the lockdown is overblown and unnecessary. It surprised me because he’s much more likely to have it real bad if he were to get the virus. So many people are willing to have that attitude because they don’t know anyone personally who is affected. I know casually 3 people who got sick and though no one died one was in the hospital for 3 weeks (he’s close to my age) and the others said they were the sickest they’d been in their lives. Stay safe folks.

We are well past our peak and are essentially "reopened" with officials planning how to reopen school in the Fall.

Masks are "required" in grocery stores. I shop in one of the most educated places in the country and yet about 1 in 10 people don't wear masks even though there is a sign at the front of each store saying that masks are required. I wish the grocery stores would enforce masks. I'd consider complaining to the management but I'm guessing my complaints would fall on deaf ears. For the record, Trader Joe's enforces their mask policy. I take my business there whenever possible.

I'm 62 and in a higher risk category only because of my demographics, I'm pretty healthy for my age and I want to stay that way!

I fucking wear my mask and take precautions! I guess I can understand why many young people don't seem to care but I think they are being quite stupid and naive. OK, maybe their chance of dying is half what mine is... mine is high enough that I'll be frightened until we have a vaccine.
