I will watch her. With Tweety I had to change the channel. Except for favoring Sanders I like Joy. katmondoo Jun 2020 #7

MSNBC really needs to add more diversity to their line up of daily anchors, among other things. She can clearly be opinionated, but for the most part she is spot on with them. I thought she got carried away a bit with her own spin on Sanders early on during the primary season, but later I thought she got a better handle on it and was less biased in her reporting on him while still holding true to her beliefs. She is clearly an extremely bright woman and she comes across as very real and open with her feelings on camera , and that is a big plus to me. My only real quasi issue with her is that she doesn't seem to break new ground frequently with her reporting, mostly her daily coverage seems to be a "greatest hits" run down of the stories that have broken over the last 24 hours. However that can be explained by the fact that Joy has had to function as a substitute anchor and has not been able to build her own daily team of staffers to help her explore new leads and perspectives on issues. And of course she inherently brings a Black perspective to the news regardless, and that is invaluable in itself. With her own daily slot I hope she can expand on her game. I wish her luck
