1. I have a question, if the hair cutter wears a mask and the customer wears a mask, is it safe?

Asking because I haven't had a haircut since March 1st. Pretty son I'll be able to wear it in a pony tail like an old hippie.

the only reason I did so, was because when I got to the salon me and the stylist were the ONLY 2 people in the shop, AND we both had masks on. Otherwise I would have said no way.

Had my temp taken, used Hand sanitizer, booths were spaced.

I never had issues with my Hair and Nail salon in the past. Always kept cleaner than my house, and I keep it as clean as I can.

(CNN)No cases of coronavirus have been linked to two Missouri hairstylists who saw 140 clients last month while symptomatic, county health officials said.
Both stylists worked at the same Great Clips location in Springfield. The clients and the stylists all wore face coverings, and the salon had set up other measures such as social distancing of chairs and staggered appointments, the Springfield-Greene County Health Department said this week.

Of the 140 clients and seven co-workers potentially exposed, 46 took tests that came back negative. All the others were quarantined for the duration of the coronavirus incubation period. The 14-day incubation period has now passed with no coronavirus cases linked to the salon beyond the two stylists, county health officials said.

Maybe not a good comparison, but it reminds me of the Glenn Close line....

and just other standards, rules etc to make things safer for everyone.

Have health inspectors check and help out the businesses.

The case of the 2 hair stylists who were infected with Covid 19 and did I think over a 100 haircuts at some chain and none of their customers were infected. That place required masks so I think the masks helped them.

Enforcement is very important also . Start giving fines for violations. Increase it for multiple violations within a certain amount of time.

13. My hotel called asking me come back to work. I suggested we wait until after spike. The indoor pool

is open. First the lobby is small and unventilated. Yesterday they had 80 check ins. That would be 80 bodies from travelers from Wa, Ca, Nv and Az mostly standing in this room. I told them I am the exact person that needs to stay out of the environment. I did read about a UV? light that can kill the virus in air. That sounds promising and I can see that going into the lobbies of hotels and being really effective. But I was also told that the pool is open. That is very popular with guest sometimes getting 50 people in a small, indoor room with jacuzzi and mist and steam. I gotta tell you, there have been times I have walked into that room and seen 20 people squeeze into a very small jacuzzi, and I shake my head. No way in hell I would use that thing. But, to have the pool open in an enclosed space blows my mind while we sit in between Wa and Ca.
