(82,849 posts)Lots of work to be done, but we should go about it with a glad heart. Don't get caught up i momentary distractions or outlier polls of dubious provenance. These things must happen, but we don't need to buy into them. Of the two candidates, Biden is in the far more desirable position, and it's difficult to see Trump winning many if any undecided voters with his clownish antics.
Let us be of good cheer and encourage one another.

(13,058 posts)I remember how sure everybody at DU was that Hillary Clinton would beat him. People were already measuring the Oval Office drapes and picking her cabinet members. And polls at this stage of the campaign in 2016 had her winning by a landslide.
Of course it's 2020 and not 2016. Things may well be different this time. But don't be complacent.

(52,162 posts)over Hillary. One state he is 13 better (NC), three states 11 (MI, WI, AZ), one state 10 (PA), and Florida is 7. That means we aren't seeing an acceleration of the trend between Obama and Hillary which would have increased Trump's margin for error in the popular vote. If this pattern is what is going on, Trump is in big trouble. I don't think Trump is down 9 in NC but I do think he is down some.
