I don’t blame Obama for any of this during his administration. He got nothing but obstruction from the Republicans.
However, I think this do-nothing attitude began under the leadership of Newt Gingrich.

4. Yup. The ghost of Newt's grand 'Contract With America'.

Didn't the contract include putting children in bording schools while all adults worked in govt run facilities to exist in a meager life of a govt run society?

What govt style does that sound like. 😬

We used to call it his Contract ON America.

Society under Newt's govt would work to support the govet in exchange for a bunk to sleep on between shifts & a bowl of gruel.

Children taken at birth & raised by govt run orphanages .

Guess Trump's southern border was a grift off Newt's vision.

I hate them all.

He just totally screwed the whole thing up by no leadership. It should never have gotten to this point and it never would have if we had a different person in charge. Wake up people!

US has a pretty good record of passing up easy

Stopping smoking

Going Metric

Putting on a mask.

It could have been done under the right President

realized that Jeff Tiedrich is the same Jeff that owns Smirkingchimp.com ... or at least he used to. I spent lots of my time there back when, the same way I now do at DU.

Who woulda thunk it?

15. We didn't just go to the moon, we made huge technological leaps.

We built-in redundancies and capability to the extreme. The damn thing blew up @ 17,000mph 100,000+ mi. from Earth, and we managed to finish the 500,000+mi. trip. Also, for icing on the cake, we took a nice electric car out and drove around on the moon.
That's not all, Hoover Dam, the Golden Gate Bridge and the Empire State.
Have we really become cry babies 'cause of no haircuts, nightclubs, and now wearing a mask is too much.?
