Had been avoiding going anywhere for tools, hardware..But I really
needed some bolts..So I went into the ace hardware in augusta..with
mask in place..Got that first look by the helpers, to see who and then
looking down quick..No one, but me has a mask on...One of them took
me to where the fasteners were..messed around finding the right ones and
then as we were heading up to the cash register, which by the way the
owner had put a big piece of plexiglas up so the cashier wouldn't be breathed
on.., I asked the guy that had helped me if it worried him not wearing a
mask? They deal with a lot of people during the day.."No, he said" "Haven't
worn one from the beginning.."....Might think that the heavy resurgence of
the virus in 24 states...as in worst than before...Might, just might make a person
think about wearing a mask..

(20,875 posts)I was at the grocery store a couple of weeks ago. They will not let you into a store without a mask on.
Anyway, I was parked in the disabled zone and was leaving with a mask on. I took it off as I got into the car and this woman parked next to me had no mask on and began screaming at me, "I am no longer a Democrat! I used to be one but not anymore!".
I just looked at her, got in my car and drove away.
I take it she attempted to go into the store and they escorted her out. No mask, no service.
As for the statement she made, I guess she is now a proud puke.
Sad situation at best.
Since when should the political party of a person define whether or not they wear a mask? Answer: Since the day dump refused to wear one, that is when!
Bunch of idiots will die and the blood will be on dump's et al. little hands.

(20,875 posts)I never engage such persons.
That was Senior Citizen day at this store.
That same day in fact, a man approached me and started talking to me. He had on a t-shirt that said LEFT ---> on it.
I think I'll start going later in the day on Senior Citizen Day as it seems to me that this age group (most over the age of 65) are pissed off no matter what party they are in.
I find this to be a most unusual observation.
Are people in this age group (I barely fit the profile) are mighty angry. They should be.
The only rational thing they can do is vote BIDEN in November as that is our last chance!

(4,915 posts)Yesterday I stopped to pick up a few things at a supermarket near my home in a New York City suburb. A kid stocking the shelves had his mask off. His nose and mouth were completely uncovered. I asked him, nicely, to put his mask on as I approached the end of the aisle. He said and I quote, "its uncomfortable and I care more about myself than I do about you." Then a woman passing by said "masks do nothing anyway."
We are never going to get out of this. People are just too selfish and stupid.

Don't shop at Home Depot, they support Trump.

(22,075 posts)Many customers are not. Same goes for Tractor Supply and the grocery. They have also put up shields at the checkout, and tape measuring 6 ft. out. I've been pleasantly surprised that about half the people do. I think Gov. Beshear deserves a lot of credit for giving the order. Bevin would have rather been caught dead.
