Some of that can be increased testing though.
Part, obviously is increasing infections. Arizona had a positivity of around 14 yesterday. That's very high.
Deaths don't appear to have spiked yet either.
The pattern in the bars looks the same, actually trending down.
Maybe many of these new cases are younger people who are not dying from it.

1918 all over again and maybe worse. What would it take? People dying on the streets? People falling out, hospitals full.

(16,685 posts)Acting as if it was over. Not even taking minor precautionary measures. Not a surprise to me at all. It could have worked if people had continued to minimize their outings, wore masks, telecommuted where possible, and continued to maintain distances. But nope... drop it all because its over.
I knew this was going to be the case when i drove by a Target the day after they began lifting restrictions and the lot was completely full.
People started acting as if the virus was gone the minute restrictions were lifted.
