Barr has "agreed" to testify before Congress on July 28th. Really. Pinky swear and

scout's honor. "No subpoena necessary."

So, when ol' Bill tells the Democrats waiting to question him to pound sand on, oh, say---July 26th, there will be nothing to "enforce" and he will not be "defying a lawful subpoena".

THEN, even if hurriedly served with a subpoena, it will be log-jammed in the courts till after the election.

Why not subpoena him to appear on July 28th, the date on which he has already agreed to appear---"just in case"? After all, this man is just as honorable and trustworthy as his boss.

until you realize the scores of criminals in the Trump cabal will then have nothing at all to fear from federal prosecutors, including whatever is going down in the SDNY that has Trump shitting bricks.

It requires passage by both the House and Senate, and signature by the President. I’m sure Mitch and Dumpy will get right on that.

make us look silly. Typical poli-sci technique.

No one is "defunding" anything. That means taking the funds away abruptly.

It doesn't mean looking for reform or reallocating resources or just researching better ways to achieve goals. Or better yet, re-evaluating goals in a changing world.

Barr is not going to show up and a lot can happen between now and July 28th. I’m not holding my breath on this one. And why wait so long. If he’s got nothing to hide he should appear sooner than that. I’m disappointed Nadler gave him a break of a month.
