(9,952 posts)on her by a misogynist society. I find that ironic this is the Karen you pull up. I find it sad.

(42,862 posts)Yes, it was a sad ending for a heavenly voice. Their "Christmas Portrait" album is one of my favorites. The holidays at our house would not be the same without their music in our home.

(2,220 posts)She was the first woman I heard sing who sang in my range, and she gave me hope that maybe I could sing, too.

(6,477 posts)Jennifer was the #1 girls name of 1976. If you grew up in the 1980's and early 90's, you had at least four Jennifers in your class at any one time. If you were born in the 1970s as a girl in the US, you have a good chance of being a Jennifer, Jen, Jenny.
Then *poof*. Jennifer has disappeared.
My daughter (high school age) does not know a single Jennifer her age. My son (elementary) has not had a Jenny in his class at all, not in K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th. Not one. NOT ONE!
Where have all the Jennifers gone, long time passing?
Gen X Jennifers. You're the best!
