(25,265 posts)he loses his credibility in my eyes. In my opinion - he's not saying what he really wants to say and he winds up talking out of both sides of his mouth so as not to incur the wrath of Trump.
Until and unless he resigns from this Administration and becomes his own man - I wouldn't put him on any Biden Committee.
If he's thinking that being on this Task Force is a way of maybe being somewhat an influence on Trump - I believe he's badly mistaken. Trump will do what he wants and when he wants and nothing anyone on this Task Force will be able to keep Trump in check.
Others in Trump's Administration have learned this hard lesson. They thought that their being involved was a way of tempering Trump. It just doesn't work.
I've been on record here at DU before - that Fauci should resign his post with Trump. He's still there and as a result - we're not really getting the straight skinny on what he really thinks. I believe he's compromising his own principles.
In a way I feel sorry for Dr. Fauci. In another respect he has only himself to blame for the situation he finds himself in.

(4,846 posts)Because I have full faith in Biden's team to put the best person in whatever role they are trying to fill. I have full confidence that the person named will have the qualifications and experience needed for the job.
