This dick is putting the onus for clearing up his despicable comments on the person who has the video.

He will take no accountability for anything negative and claim accountability for that which he didn't do if it was successful.
What an assHOLE!

(39,374 posts)or at least a tape of the question he was responding to. When you say 47% of the country are self-imagined victims who won't take responsibility for their lives, what possible difference could the question make?

(2,480 posts)The guy says something about "the people" being on the government handout for the last 3-4 years. They are used to it, so how are you going to get them to vote for you?

(5,842 posts)I initially thought it was Romney asking a hypothetical to lead into his statement.
Further attention revealed the question was asked by an attendee and was along the lines of "given the past three and a half years of being told the government will take care of you what do you (Romney) do in the next few months to convince people they need to step up and take care of themselves?"
The question doesn't help Romney in terms of context. If anything it makes him appear more heartless in his answer.

(39,374 posts)He is routinely impolitic. Reminds of how he turned a softball from Brian Williams into quotes that alienated all of Britain.

They rob us middle class folks on a daily basis to dump stolen money down the sinkhole called Romney.
The "job creators" demonstrate their investing prowess yet again. Do we have to bail them out of paying for this Looney Tune campaign as well?

(2,716 posts)Mitts Romneys remarks to his fellow plutocrats went more viral than the Duchesss hooters but no one is asking why he made them, even if he had no idea they would be shared with the unwashed of the world. Why would he admit to his real base that he has no chance of winning a fair election? When you spot your opponent 47 percent you are either giving a very early concession speech or asking the heavy hitters to use their financial clout to circumvent that pesky notion of democracy. While I would like to believe that Romney just signed his campaigns death certificate, I am horrified that he would suggest to his inner circle of billionaires that their unfettered largesse to his death spiraling candidacy might still make a difference.

(19,993 posts)I'd guess this has been Mitt's mindset all his life. These assholes often end up in fraternities and good ol' boy networks convincing themselves and each other that they are superior beings who deserve everything they have inherited and swindled.

(14,177 posts)Somehow every time he hits bottom, he manages to dig deeper. I am always amazed at the stuff coming out of his mouth and his campaign. It seems like years ago we learned that because Mitt is an Anglo Saxon his relationship with the Brits is special. Guess that is why a crowd of 80,000 mocked him. And that "if you want free stuff vote for the other guy". Oh yeah now he is saying 47% of people are only interested in free stuff. Not, you know getting the government to help them with the kind of training you need to get a good job.
