So my wife, who isn't very politically motivated, just asked "Are we in the 6%?"

I had no idea what she was talking about. She said 53% of people voted for Obama in the last election...which we did of course. She said we don't consider ourselves some kind of "victims" like Romney said about 47% of Obama voters. Therefore, she said, we are in the 6%. I just laughed that she put that all together so quickly in her head.

And I have to say that I would be more inclined to let Romney have his message if, at any time in his life, he actually worked for some money. You know, say digging ditches, or working in fields or working on the line at one of his father's plants, or....you get the idea. As it is, he's just another privileged asshole.

I offered to take one of those guys on a tour in my first year at University. He declined when I told him to leave his Rolex and cashmere sport coat at home.

You wanna talk about hard work. She can drive a combine, milk cows, dump a clutch to start a car rolling down a hill...

And yes, I too know what work is. I don't despise this man because of his money, but his attitude. It's disgusting.

It's funny how many people, including myself, post comments on DU on behalf of their spouse who is (a) clever and (b) clever enough not to spend time on DU.

Not for my thoughts or opinions...which as a public school teacher she is right there on board. But I obsess at times on DU and hollers at me to turn it off. And she's right.
