New: US F-22 fighter jets intercepted four Russian Tu-142 reconnaissance aircraft Saturday in Alaska

Virtually every day there’s a provocation & no response from the president. Why?

New: US F-22 fighter jets intercepted four Russian Tu-142 reconnaissance aircraft Saturday in Alaskan Air Defense Identification Zone, says NORAD. Follows 3 similar encounters earlier this month.

or better yet let loose with M61A2 20-mm multibarrel cannon in their general direction. The Bear will keep playing cat and mouse. A shot across the bow so to speak

1960s era recon plane realizes it is quite outmatched by a fifth-gen fighter and could be brought down at any time.

Should we be firing shots across the bow of anyone operating in international airspace?

He isn't looking to take over Alaska...he just thinks that's our back door, and he's breaking and entering.

then their flight is legal under international law. It has gone on for decades and this is both sides. Planes are scrambled to show that we are alert.

Air Defence Identification Zone is a zone that can extend in some cases up to 300 miles beyond the territorial sea. It’s established by some countries off their coasts for security reasons. When entering the zone, all aircraft are required to identify themselves, report flight plans, and inform ground control of their exact position.

It's a way to test the response time of our guys.. We do it to them also...
I always though it would be fun to get in front of the soviet planes and do a gas dump all over the nose of their plane.. Kinda sorta like pissing on them... HA!..... I wonder if it would "piss" Putin off.

Shoot them down?

The US does quite a few freedom of navigation exercises around the world. It would be rather hypocritical to complain when another country operates their military in international space near our borders.
