So he has tantrums, eh?

That descriptor has been used often with regard to his outbursts. It is a special word, reserved for nearly-violent or violent actions taken by severely acutely disturbed individuals. Now I myself am a volatile person at times when under extreme stress. I inherited my mother’s anger Gene, but I can only recall three or four times in my adult lifetime that I had behaved in a fashion which could remotely be described as a tantrum.

More and more his behavior can be described as Hitlerian And his retreat to the bunker, while a wonderful literary metaphor, remarkably parallels the actions and behavior of the Dictator. I believe that he operates on such a primitive level that books about Hitler imprinted in his brain, and directly affect his behavior without his consciousness perceiving it as such. He is dissociated from reality, and is, like the coronavirus, becoming exponentially worse. I have come to the conclusion that he has internalized Hitler and the Third Reich and may see himself as the alter ego, or even The chosen mechanism of the reincarnation of that evil. For some comparison, when I was young I idolized certain movie actors’ film roles such as Paul Newman‘s, because he was insightful, smart, cool, and tongue-in-cheek debonair. This guy idolized the conquerors and the fascists and saw the “advantages” in being a criminal, Associating with the criminal element, and building an empire albeit as false an empire as the movie set of the film Cleopatra.

The level of mental and emotional pathology is extraordinary.

Dust off your books about the last throes of the Third Reich.

This will also explain the behavior of the people closest to him as well as the GOP.

The Nazi party became more dangerous after it was crystal clear the war was lost. And the rest of the total destruction of that country was utterly senseless, but it was on purpose.

3. Hitler himself was the reason Germany lost the war.

He thought, just as trump does, that he knew more than the generals and frequently overruled their decisions or made his own poor decisions, like opening a second front into Russia. He forgot about the Russian winter though.

We don't have to worry about a war with trump though, he shies away from war just as he did the draft. Most were afraid of him starting a war with NK or Iran but all he wanted was attention and photo ops with NK, and with Iran it was just bluster. His real, actual crisis, as it comes out, was against Putin paying bounties and he looked the other way and is now saying no one told him. Nah, he's afraid to confront Putin.

Right after the non-aggression pact, Stalin started preparing for war with Germany. He knew it was coming, the question was, who was going to start it first. Lot of production was moved to the other side of the Urals and they knew Nazi Germany had the quality edge on military equipment...so they focused on quantity..."quantity is a quality of its own".

Or as a friend put it when we play FPS games, "accuracy through massive ammunition expenditure". Funny thing is, we both subscribed to this philosophy, we got the cheap guns with cheap ammo and although we had a hard time hitting the target, we emptied our magazines and killed the other guy while he was still trying to fire off a second or third shot.

Anyone who tried to desert from the Russian front was said to have been shot dead on the spot.

There was a good documentary on the battle for a key Russian city, if the Germans won it, the eastern war was basically over, there was no real resistance to Moscow. Stalin gave the order that no man could back down one centimeter, what then took place is one of the most brutal, lethal and prolonged fights in history, wounded men froze to death unattended, but those capable of fighting fought on. The vaunted German army of the East was broken in that battle and from then on, the fight was a retreat back toward Berlin. It must be added that the fight that the Russians and Cossacks put up was why Germany could not dedicate more resources to conquering Britain, if the war in the East had ended in Germany's favor fast, the world likely would look vastly different today.

If she’s a mental health professional she can’t help but see through the lens of nature plus nurture, and I expect Spanky rolled snake eyes on both counts. Some people are more reactive from birth. It’s not a terrible thing, it’s just a thing. If you find an environment that you can use it in, and your early years help you learn to self soothe or to look to healthy outlets for soothing, you can channel it into quite a few fields.

From the little bit I know about that family through the generations, there’s so much meanness and entitlement it’s destroyed a lot of people. It’s also created some real disasters. One in particular.
