(15,131 posts)Instead of feeling celebratory, I feel like I want to hold my country close to my heart like it's a fragile thing.
Our city usually has a fabulous 4th of July celebration with a huge parade, band concert in the park, food and art booths.
Not this year.

(12,480 posts)Gonna be a depressing day. But I will wear my red white and blue
Bandanna with stars on it to the grocery store... Because it's the 4th,regardless.
No it's gonna be a sad time..
I'll wear my glittery red white and blue hat with stars on it when Biden's inauguration happens. Biden will be prez and kicking ass and taking names. I'll have pride in my country and will enjoy wearing it.

(16,174 posts)are asking on NextDoor if neighbors would like to have large scale fireworks in a residential area over a community lake due to the city cancelling theirs.
No mention of who pays for liability insurance, fire department or what happens when a tree catches fire.
I don't feel very celebratory, at all and if I still had a dog I'm certain it wouldn't approve either.
