One could have a 95% approval in the Republican Party

But how many people are left in the Republican Party? His 40% dead Enders?

95% approval amongst republicans mean nothing until we know how many republicans are left after this shit show.

... of respondents.

A lot of people call themselves a member of PartyX when they are on board with the leader of PartyX, and not a member when they aren't.

But that also means once Trump is gone a lot of those people will go back to calling themselves Repukes.

self identification doesn't really mean much in difficult times. People like to fit in with the popular narrative.

What matters is how they vote behind that curtain.

though not actually independent, are nevertheless at least somewhat less committed.

I read that 25% was the lowest it's been since, I think, February 2019?, and wondered what caused it that time. It rose again after obviously.

There’s no way his approval among Republicans is 95%.

Most of them may be evil (or just selfish), but there’s no way that 95% of them are STUPID.

31% Identified as Republicant
90% of them approved of t'Rump

31% times 90% equals 28%

28% approval is nothing to brag about.

29% identified as independents
37% approved

giving 11% approval

4% of the 38% Democrats giving 2% (WTF?)

Adding these up I get 41% approval.

Honestly.

People don't change their party very often. Most people NEVER change their party and if they do, they do it once in their lifetime. I can't think of a single person who has changed their political party twice.

Every 4 years, each party takes turns calling the other party dead.

I suppose one day we'll get to a one party country, but I doubt it will happen in our lifetimes.
