The age of Un-reason.
The day the fools took over.

(16,866 posts)Although historians will probably clean it up and give it a cool name like "The Sh'ole"....an era of unfettered corruption, nastiness, and idiocy.

(4,448 posts)Trump isn't important enough to merit an era.
We've had 45 Presidents. But today we only talk about maybe 10 in everyday discussions.
Let's see:
Obama, Clinton, bush, Bush, Reagan, Nixon, Kennedy, Johnson, Roosevelt, Washington. Maybe a few more. Maybe not even that many.
Notice that is mostly recent Presidents.
He won't even be talked about in 70 years.

(100,083 posts)But it will be more like "Hey! Remember that time when the US elected the dumbest man possible to lead the country and he ushered in the worst pandemic in an entire century because of his stupidity? Don't do that."

(11,045 posts)Clinton like Nixon will be remembered for impeachment. The coronavirus pandemic will never be forgotten. Trump will be remembered for his failed leadership. His remarks like "magically disappear" will live on throughout the ages.

(4,448 posts)How many of us knew details of the 1918 epidemic before 2020?
In 50 years, COVID 19 will mostly be forgotten.
Until the next Pandemic.
But you are correct! The next time a President get impeached. Whether in 2 years or 100, Trump, Clinton and Nixon will be the hot topic. Impeachment is very notable.
